Privacy

Updated 22 September 2026

Logic2030 helps you learn propositional, predicate, and modal logic. This page explains the information used to run the site and save your learning. For privacy questions or a request about your data, contact nicholas@outrageousfortune.ca.

Guest practice and saved work

You can learn without an account. The site creates a guest learner record and uses an essential session cookie to find your work. It stores exercise answers and proofs you save or submit, unfinished work, lesson and test results, learning progress, practice dates, and challenge records. Browser storage also remembers interface preferences, tutorial checkpoints, and which celebrations you have seen.

Guest access depends on that browser’s session. Clearing cookies or changing browsers can disconnect you from guest work. Signing in saves progress to an account that you can use across devices.

Google and Microsoft sign-in

When you choose a provider, it handles authentication under its own privacy policy. Logic2030 requests basic sign-in identity and profile information. We use the provider’s verified account identifier to recognize you and store that identifier and your display name with your learner record. We do not request access to Gmail, mailboxes, contacts, calendars, or files. We do not store your provider email address or password.

Provider tokens are processed temporarily to complete sign-in and are not retained. Logic2030 then uses its own session. Google and Microsoft accounts are separate here, even if they use the same email address. A new account keeps the current guest’s work; adding guest work to an existing account requires your selection.

Google user data is used only to provide sign-in and your learning account. Logic2030’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Usage statistics

First-party usage statistics help identify useful lessons, difficulties, and technical problems. They include page and learning events, a pseudonymous learner reference, coarse device categories, referring website names, and timing or error categories. The statistics database does not contain answer or proof contents, display names, email addresses, IP addresses, full browser identifiers, or session replay. The collector respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

Detailed events are normally retained for up to 30 days, and daily and per-learner summaries for up to 365 days; storage limits may shorten those periods. Maintenance runs while the service is available. These statistics are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous.

Who can see information

The site operator can access stored learning records for operation and support. Authorized administrators can view usage reports and an account directory containing display names and creation dates. If you submit a leaderboard result, your chosen initials and result are public; your provider identity is not used as the leaderboard label.

Render hosts the application and its storage. Hosting and operational logs may contain connection information such as IP addresses, request paths, and timestamps. Google or Microsoft receives the information needed for a sign-in you initiate. Logic2030 does not sell your information, use it for advertising, or send your learning work to an external AI service.

Your choices and retention

Use Account to download a progress backup, sign out, or reset progress. Reset clears exercise results, XP, streaks, unfinished work, and the skill check; it does not delete your account or challenge records. Signing out or removing provider consent does not delete saved learning records.

Learning records and account identity have no automatic expiry. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated data, email the contact above. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. Server backups and hosting logs are separate from the live learning database and may retain earlier copies until those copies are replaced or removed.

We will update this page when the site’s data practices change.
